I like to add things to my aircraft and soon had the handle of "Gadget" when we went flying together. I added all kinds of things; after all it was for fun and recreation. I have had a mirror for a gas gauge, Kuntzleman strobes, AM-FM-CD player, aircraft radio, 2 meter HAM radio, 100 Watt spot light, LED panel light, smoke system I made, air horns, fuel computer, model rockets, LED position lights and the most recent, An LED Landing light.

When I decided to install position lights I decided I needed to do something to save power with all the gadgets I had. LEDs were the natural choice. They produce the most light and use the least power and last much longer. My friends saw my lights and wanted some for their aircraft. I decided that I would market the things I made but they had to be better than any other lights I had seen. Others have come out with LED lights but none are as powerful as the ones I have made. There have been two power upgrades since I started making LED lights. They have gone from 350 milliwatts to 700 and the white have jumped to 1000 milliwatts or 1 amp each. The technology keeps getting better.

I now make the panel/emergency light, position lights, a headlight, and runway lights. In R&D is a smaller, more compact headlight, a taxi flood light, a red blinking beacon, and LED strobe lights. This will make a complete lighting package for aircraft plus runway marker lights. All of these use LEDs exclusively.
